Hi!

Free Law Project is a similar project as PeerLibrary, but for law court
opinions.

Hello noise,

You may have seen http://freelawproject.org the non-profit umbrella
organization that now operates https://courtlistener.com and related
efforts.

FLP co-founder and MIMS alumnus, Michael Lissner, will be providing some
of our local volunteer developers or would-be-developers with a tour of
the code this coming Friday from 1-3pm in South Hall 202. For those that
aren't local we hope to have a Google Hangout, contact me for details.

If you think you might be interested in learning something about Django,
Postgresql, Solr, web scraping terrible court websites, our first-ever
API for U.S. case law, wrangling big messy data, or related technologies
that can make the law more accessible for the public, feel free to join
us. You can come for the knowledge and don't have to ever contribute to
our projects, but if you find you'd like to do so, we'll be thrilled.

CourtListener Code Tour
Friday 1-3pm (Nov. 22, 2013)
South Hall 202
