I'm down to meet :)!

This wed works after 7 for me. Not usually Thursdays. Fridays earlyish works.

This Tuesday I'm booked, but not always afternoon.

What about ya'll?

I'm fine meeting this week if y'all are interested!
We should discuss what has happened with URAP.

I am glad to see that there is still enough interest to keep this going. However, I'm afraid I have to agree with Rachel - we absolutely need serious devs. Any word on that? Do we have any students interested in this?

I don't think Mitar "gave up", but he's going to be spending most of his time on another project, while spending his remaining time on PeerLibrary. So he won't be as active or the "leader" as last semester.

Really? Awesome! I thought Mitar gave up! I'm in it PT, but have a little less time than last semester. I think PeerLibrary really crucially needs devs tho...

So it seems the majority is confident with continuing with the project.

What is our next course of action? Should we schedule a meeting amongst us or wait until the remaining URAP students are chosen? I personally know a few friends that applied to this project this semester.

Sincerely,
Brian Kim

As being the noneffective member of community:

- i believe the times of PeerLibrary is around. Considering the consolidation of open-science around the world, PeerLibrary, soon, will become both personal and institutional tool for knowledge sharing in and around academic scene.

- Decentralisation of development and coordination can be achieved by throwing a hook to Europe (maybe through a cooperation with P2P Foundation). I am moving to Amsterdam for the next 4 months, starting from March and i'd be more than happy to talk this issue with Michel Bauwens.

- (not much but at least something) I can postpone my Amsterdam move and relocate around the campus for 3 months to support the efforts (that's the limitation of an easy visa, i suppose).

- we can fund the project via crowd-funding and boost it.

best wishes from somewhere in Amazonas.

Cemre.

That makes sense to me. We need programmers to see it through.

Having just one person apply for funding as much as they can would give peerlibrary a real chance though :)

Development is the main concern. We are still offering URAP credits this semester, but we're likely only asking from programmers.
Any ideas are welcome. =]

Hi everyone, sorry for my mia - still in Slovenia. So, I wanted to say that I'm on the same page with Rachel-I would also like to keep contributing as much as possible and see how far it takes us. I wouldn't like to see people just giving up on such a great idea. Besides, it is just going into serious testing this semester,no? The user guide is almost finished. At the moment, development is probably our main concern, right?

Best,

Klara Pelcl

I'm so sorry I missed yesterday! I had 3 meetings at the Omni and have been getting heavily involved there :-)

I'm still down to be a part of peerlibrary part time like last semester. If it comes down to dev stuff there's not much more we can do. If it comes to funding, there's no harm in looking for it in our spare time, and if money pops up we can get things going again, little by little :-) But Peerlibrary isn't anyone's main focus :-)

All the love and hoping to catch up with you guys soon!
Happy Learning,
Rachel

Hi!

Gary, Brian, and I had a meeting and I have explained to them that I am
no longer working on PeerLibrary as my PhD project because my adviser
and I realized that not enough progress has been made. I will try to
work on it in my free time when I have some. I would like to hear from
any of you if you are still interested in PeerLibrary and/or how you
think it can continue. What should we do?

Mitar
