Hi!

This seems a really great event. But I don't think we have have anyone
who could attend the event and present PeerLibrary there, no? :-(

What could we do? Over Skype?

Hello Peer Library,

I met Mitar briefly at OKFestival. I’ve been working with OA Button
guys, and I am also a researcher with the Hybrid Publishing Lab. I
wanted to see if one of you would be available Nove 13-14 for a workshop
on Friday (Rogue Scholarship + OA Activism) We can offer a small stipend
of 250 euros and probably a modest space to crash.

The workshop is meant as a tool-sharing discussion, as well as
discussing projects of significance at the intersection of OA + Open
Scholarship.

Rogue Scholarship (Friday)
A host of recent tools and platforms are creating a new spectrum of
critical infrastructure for open(ing) access to academic publications.
Besides dealing creatively with copyright and intellectual property
issues, these tools allow for alternative strategies and workarounds
along a challenging territory of the open access movement.

Several case studies (within the ongoing "OA Activism Handbook project”)
will be discussed in order to define and understand an increasingly gray
zone of critical issues that are relevant to those involved in building
these tools. The workshop aims to highlight these questionable 'hot
spots’ for future creators around the open access movement.

I would need to know early next week, if you can make it. Lüneburg is a
30 min train ride to Hamburg airport.
